Dear Editor and Eastland Hospital, I have watched a video recently on Eastland County Today of the latest Hospital Board Meeting. Wish I would have known exactly what was going on, by all means, I would have been at that meeting!!
We have learned that the Administrator of Eastland Memorial an Employee that is highly trained and well loved. This is a MAJOR MISTAKE!! The employee is highly trained and was in charge of the EMT’s and trained others including local VFD Firemen!!! Collin Craig is Vital to Eastland and needs to be reinstated or even get the job as Hospital Administrator.
Back in November of 2023, we learned my neighbor, was diagnosed with cancer. She had been on oxygen for a lengthy time. One morning, I received a text at 4 a.m. that she was out of oxygen. I did not see the text till 5:30 am. I called her and she did not answer. I took off running and calling her daughter to let her know I was going into the house. The daughter had same text and had been trying to get someone there and she had not yet called me. I called another neighbor, while daughter called 911. Other neighbor was a local nurse. We found neighbor gasping and shaking. Within minutes nurse and Olden Fire came along with our well trained EMT!! Kelley Fron and Delaine Rowlen rolled on into the house and were able to get oxygen rolling and save the day.
