Delila Crain won the girls’ high jump competition and placed second in the triple jump on February 29 and helped power the Gorman Lady Panthers to a solid showing at the Bearcat Relays in De Leon. Overall, Gorman collected eight medals at the meet, including six in the girls’ division. Crain owned the high jump event. She won with a height of 5 feet, 11 inches. Her winning mark was 10 inches better than the rest of the field.
She finished her day with a second-place effort in the triple jump with a leap of 31 feet, 7 inches.
Yahlee Torrez also enjoyed a stellar outing.
