The Bosque River Chapter of Children of the Republic of Texas (CRT) had a field trip in February to the Old Zoo Nature Trails in Cisco. After the hike the members heard a program about William Mosby Eastland, the namesake of Eastland County.
Members have also gathered recently to color quilt squares to submit as a project to the CRT second vice president general who will make a quilt to be auctioned at the CRT Convention in Waco.
Members of CRT are direct descendants of a man or woman who lived in Texas prior to February, 1846. For information about joining go to www.drtinfo. org or call local registrar Cynthia Rhodes at 832-640-6774.
