Kevin Carson Is a Special Education teacher at Cisco High School who also announces basketball and football games for Cisco College.
“Probably 90 percent of people don’t even know who announces the game,” Carson said. Probably most people do not know the tremendous experience he has had in public announcing nor the circuitous route he took to arrive back in Cisco.
Carson graduated not only from Cisco High but also from Cisco College. “My dad is from Eastland County–he was born at Dothan and went to Putnam High School.” A crash rescue firefighter with the Air Force, his father was stationed mostly at Clovis, New Mexico. When the father became ill, he returned with his family to Cisco, when Kevin was in the 9th grade. The father had been given six months to live but lasted for 13 years.
