Never Have I Ever, The Writers’ Version
My author friend, Rami Ungar, and I played a round of Never Have I Ever, the writers’ version. Confession: I didn’t know what the Never Have I Ever drinking game was. I had to Google it. (Eye roll. I live such a sheltered life.) The idea is to truthfully answer if you’ve done foolish or risky writerly things that other authors have also done. Rest assured, the writers’ version involves no alcohol.
These are my answers: Never have I ever abandoned a novel in the midst of writing it. I don’t have any partially- finished novels lying around. However, I did complete several practice novels that I never tried to publish because they were not up to par. Rami has an abandoned novel on his computer, but he promises to get back to it soon. It’s a ghost story that takes place at a school for boys.
