The Cisco Loboes’ hopes of capturing the District 10-2A basketball crown suffered a tough blow this past weekend. A real tough blow.
Sparked by a 31-point outburst in the first half, the Hawley Bearcats were able to hold off a furious second-half push by the Loboes and hold on for a 65-51 victory in the HHS gymnasium.
With the loss, Cisco slipped a game behind the Bearcats in the 102A standings heading into the final stretch of the regular season. Both Hawley and Cisco have two regular season games remaining on their schedules.
