Cisco College students who have trouble with their essays and research papers can always turn to a one-onone writing coach, Rebecca Odom, who has worked at the college’s Writing Center since it opened more than a decade ago.
The Writing Center is a free service at the college and is also open to anyone in the general public who needs help with a writing project. The center is located inside the Maner Memorial Library on the Cisco campus.
“My job here is not just to help students with their writing, but to encourage them, and to make sure that they get to the point where they can move to the next step so that they move forward to their long-term goals,” Ms. Odom said.
