Braley Brunson poured in 21 points and Justive Fox added 15 more this past weekend and rolled to an impressive 60-41 romp over the Hawley Bearcats in a key District 10-2A showdown.
With the win, Cisco moved to 21-6 for the season and, more importantly, clinched a playoff berth. The victory pushed Cisco to 9-1 in district play, and to within one game of district-leading Stamford heading into their final game of the regular season on Tuesday against Albany. Cisco got off to a fast start against Hawley. They powered their way to a 14-8 run in the first eight minutes.
Hawley scored 13 points in the second and pulled to within five, at 26-21, at the half.
