The Cisco Lady Loboes and the Gorman Lady Panthers can officially say it what everyone already knew. They are among the best basketball programs in the Lone Star State.
Both Eastland County squads finished the 2023-24 regular season ranked among the top 20 teams in their respective classifications, according to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches’ final poll. The TABC issued its final rankings on Feb. 12 prior to the start of the playoffs. Cisco, the District 102A champion, finished 15th in the girls’ Class 2A rankings. The Lady Loboes finished the year at 25-4.
Cisco was scheduled to begin the postseason with a bi-district playoff game against Petrolia on Feb. 12.
