The Eastland High School Mavericks will get the opportunity to get familiar with a few new places over the next two seasons, thanks to the University Interscholastic League’s biennial redistrict process. The Mavericks were one of several Eastland County football and basketball teams to see shifts in their districts on February 1.
The Mavericks, who made a return to the state playoffs this past season, were placed in District 5-3A along with Brady, Clifton, Dublin Early and Tolar.
Tolar has been among the state’s top squads in recent years.
