When Caleb Galvan attended Cisco College six years ago, he wrote in a freshman composition class about his dream of becoming a radio announcer. Today, at the age of 24, he is the full-time radio voice not only of the Cisco High School Loboes in all sports but also for the Cisco College Wranglers in football and basketball.
A Cisco native, Caleb’s young life was immersed in sports events. His cousin, Cayla Petree, was the head coach of the championship Lady Wranglers basketball team. His father and grandfather took him to almost every Loboes and Wranglers sports event in town.
It was the atmosphere at the Loboes games as well as at the Cisco College basketball games where his cousin Coach Petree excelled that hooked him. “She made it fun to come to the games. Back then we had some crowds that came to these basketball games. And that was fun, when we got everybody involved.”
