Local Artist gives facelift to Mary and Joseph

The nativity set from the Kamon’s Estate was donated to the historical Conrad N. Hilton Center & Museum in 2019. The nativity set needed new paint and Paula Schaefer, local artist stepped up to the plate and has finished both Mary & Joseph. They are on display at the Conrad Hilton Center, located at 309 Conrad Hilton Blvd. in Cisco, until the 1st of January.

Paula said she researched clothing, skin tones and colors from the era of over two thousand years ago. She included embellishments of pearls and lace as well. She will continue working on the other four pieces of the nativity set for this year. Paula has worked on each piece for more than 40 hours dedicated to each statue and we are grateful for the beautiful work of the pieces.
