There wasn’t a ton of movement – as most everyone expected – among the Eastland County programs when the University Interscholastic League released its cutoff numbers for the upcoming biennial realignment.
Only one of the county’s five schools will be changing classifications, a fact that was no secret as Ranger had been playing in the independent sixman football ranks for the past three years in preparation for joining Class A.
Ranger, which submitted a fall snapshot total of 78 in October, will be moving into the Division I ranks of Class A. The move could place the Bulldogs in a football district that could include May, Gorman and Gordon, depending on how the UIL aligns district in February.
