Since the early 50’s, James Bruton, American State Bank Branch President, has been in awe of Chuck Curtis’ re__________________________________________________________ Over the years, Chuck and James have become friends during a recent “football” conversation, James realized Alan Gibbs was Chuck’s Assistant Coach when they won a State Championship at Jacksboro in 1962. Of course, we _________________________________________________________ our Gorman Panthers all the way to State Football Champions in 1976.
During lunch, Chuck recounted lots of football stories, including when he played for the Abe Martin at TCU, for the New York Giants when Vince Lombardi and Tom Landry were both assistant coaches and many, many great _________________________________________________________ football players from the Jacksboro championship in 1962 to two state championships in 1963 and 1964 at Garland High School.
