Bobby Middaugh age 74 of Eastland, victoriously made his way to the gates of heaven where he was finally reunited with his bride. The Lord called him home early Friday afternoon on December 8th, 2023 at 11:50am, on the most beautiful Friday December had gotten to see so far, with a light rain in the early morning hours followed by clear skies and sunshine as the morning went on. Surrounded by his children and grandchildren, we knew God was preparing his eternal home for him.
Bobby was born on May 1st, 1949 in Olney Texas to Mamie Beatrice Baxter- Middaugh and Murriel Elmer Middaugh where he was raised and loved alongside multiple siblings: Ruby, Wanda, Wayne, Glenda, Laverne, Joann, and Dana Lee who each through out the years blessed him with numerous nieces and nephews.
In January of ‘69 at the ripe age of 17, Bobby convinced his daddy to give consent to enlist him for the Vietnam War. Bobby served as a Private (E-1) in the Marine Corps Reserve Forces Class III for a total of 3 years, the first year and eight days of which he was in the thick of combating Vietnam and all that came with it. Upon his departure from serving, Bobby began working in Megargel Texas for Livingston Drilling where he married his first wife, Deborah, and became a daddy to his 4 oldest daughters: Kim Kinsey, Joanna Middaugh, Marisa Langford, and Amber Middaugh. He eventually met his [late] wife and soul mate, Connie Middaugh, where the two of them shared his later children: daughter and son in law, Tina and Jason Knight, son Joseph Holliday, and daughter and son in law, Hope and Chris Hubbard.
