RANGER, TX—It’s the most wonderful time of the year! On Friday, December 1st, bundle up and come out to downtown Ranger for the annual lighted Christmas parade, now in its 28th year. The parade starts at 6 pm and will travel along Main Street from Lula Ave. to Commerce St. Bring your family and your Christmas spirit.
Santa will ride in the parade and then greet kids at the gazebo with treats. We are excited to announce the Hardin-Simmons University Cowboy Marching Band will perform during and after the parade which will include the beautiful HSU Six White Horses. The Woodbridge Church has graciously offered to provide refreshments.
If you are interested in joining the parade, please visit the Ranger Historical Preservation Society Facebook page for the online entry form or email us at [email protected] or call 254-631-8912. We also have printed forms at local schools and at Ranger City Hall. Entry is FREE and we welcome all groups, businesses, organizations, churches, and individuals who want to show off their creativity and joy for the holidays. This year’s theme is “An Old-fashioned Oil Field Christmas.” We can’t wait to see how the community incorporates Ranger’s history into their entries. Mark your calendars for a fun-filled evening!
