The Breckenridge High School boys’ and girls’ basketball teams went into Friday’s showdown with rival Eastland with a chance to accomplish two goals. First, the BHS squads could keep their postseason hopes alive – and, even sweeter for them – they could put Eastland’s playoff hopes on life support.

Breckenridge rallied from an early deficit to claim a tough 4832 decision in a key District 8-3A girls’ showdown. The Lady Bucks used a 27-10 second-half run to escape with the win.
