Veterans Day is Sat., Nov. 11th November 11th is a special day reserved to recognize all American Veterans. Veterans Day, originally known as Armistice Day, has been celebrated in this country since Nov. 11, 1918, the day World War I ended. The National holiday was renamed Veterans Day in 1954 to honor WWII and Korean War Veterans. Reach out and thank a Vet on Veterans Day, Nov. 11 and encourage others to do the same. Without the Veterans we wouldn’t have the freedom we have today. I personally thank all those who have worn the nation’s military uniform.
