Delila Crain scored a lot of points on Friday against the Gordon Lady Longhorns. None, however, were as important as the ones she threw in in the fourth quarter.
Crain knocked down several key shots in the final eight minutes and helped the Lady Panthers claim a 50-49 win over 11th-ranked Gordon in a key district showdown.
Gorman, which entered the week ranked No. 5 in the latest Texas Association of Basketball Coaches’ poll, got off to a solid start. The Lady Panthers outscored Gordon by a 16-12 clip in the first quarter. They maintained that lead in the second, going into the half with a 23-19 cushion.
