Eastland County Retired Teachers met Monday, October 9 at Myrtle Wilks Community Center. President Gail Morris introduced Dr. Sandi Hazelip and Eleanor Hamby. Together they presented a fascinating program with a slide presentation of their trip “Around the World in 80 Days.” Traveling first to Antarctica and then the Artcic, they then traveled the globe. The two became more and more noteworthy as they traveled from continent to continent and were mentioned in national newspapers and interviewed by ABC News. The lovely friendship and bravery of these two women has enabled them to meet “good people everywhere. In store for them now is a book deal in the making.
