Thank you to the community for making The Cisco Methodist Church 2022 Lord’s Acre a huge success! If you are not familiar, this annual event is held each November and consists of church members preparing and serving traditional Thanksgiving dinner for either dine in or take out. All monies for the meal are by donation
only. In conjunction with the meal, the church hosts a live auction of items provided by church members. This year local businesses participated by donating items for the auction. The businesses including Higginbotham Brothers, Cisco Ace Lumber and Hardware, Slow Poke Farm Market, Cisco Candle Company, Wildflowers Florist, Blue Duck Winery and Broken X Winery. The auction is open to the public and the 2022 event was extremely exciting as Ronnie Ingram used his extremely exciting as Ronnie Ingram used his humor and skill set to facilitate the auction.
The proceeds from the meal and auction totaled over $7700. Since Cisco Methodist Church believes, Christians are called to serve beyond the church walls, all proceeds are going back into the Cisco community. The church has already presented a check to the Cisco Police Department allowing them to purchase signage for the school zones as well as other areas in the community.
