CISCO – Laurie Jay Smothers, age 67 of Cisco TX, left this earth to dance in Heaven on Wednesday, September 27th in her home from natural causes. There will be a Celebration of Life from 10-11:30am Saturday, October 14 at The Myrtle Wilks Community Center in Cisco, TX.
Laurie Jay was born September 16, 1956, in Hobbs, NM . She spent most of her life living in Cisco Texas where she raised her 3 children, Sam, Monnie and Dennis. She moved to Denham Springs, LA for a few years where she lived her best life spending precious time with family and her best friend Denise. She loved her kids, grandkids and great grandkids with all her heart.
Survivors include her daughters Samantha (Danny) Garcia of Cisco and Monnie (Shawn) Soderberg of Moorhead, MN, granddaughters Meagan (Justin) Anders, Tuscola, TX, Bree Garcia Gainesville, TX, Matalyn (Brian) Kwitek of Alexandria, MN, Kaitlyn Soderberg Moorhead, MN and grandsons Tanner (Ashley) Garcia Bulverde, TX and Kody Soderberg of Fargo, ND. She will also be missed by many great grandchildren.
