The Ranger College men’s basketball team isn’t just winning on the hardwood in the Ron Butler Gymnasium, it’s winning on the NCAA Division I level, as well. No less than four former RC standouts, including Keisei Tominaga, Jaren (English) Holmes, Caleb Asberry and Jorell Saterfield, are shining brightly on the big stage this season for various basketball programs. All four have helped their respective teams turn heads.
Ranger College’s alltime leader in three-point shooting, Tominaga has starred for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. A junior at Nebraska, Tominaga have averaged 9.9 points per game this season en route the helping Nebraska won 10 of its first 19 games. Overall, the former Japanese Olympian has hit 29 of his 77 threepoint attempts for the Huskers, and connected on 23 of his 24 free throw attempts.
Tominaga’s best game this season came on Nov. 30 when he tallied 23 points against Boston College.
