James Uhlhorn rushed for four touchdowns and passed for two more on Friday and helped power the Ranger Bulldogs to a 59-41 victory in front of a large homecoming crowd at O.C. Warden Stadium in Ranger.
With the win, Ranger improved to 3-1 for the season and, more importantly, reeled off their third straight victory en route to climbing to fifth on the state rankings. Woodson dropped to 0-4.
Ranger cranked up the offense early against the Cowboys. Leo Martinez got RHS on the board midway through the opening frame by hitting Shaun Perry with a 9-yard scoring strike, Kelin Poncin’s extrapoint attempt stahed the Bulldogs to an 8-0 cushion.
