Texas Family Defense Committee welcomes Brian Massey, founder of Abilenebased nonprofit Houses for Healing, to Cisco Thursday, September 28, at 6:30 p.m. He will speak in the Big Dam Room of the Myrtle Wilks Community Center, 1498 West I 20.
Houses for Healing is on a mission: to care for the sick by providing free temporary housing to those who are receiving medical treatment away from home. At a time marked by anxiety and financial challenge, patients and family may stay near treatment in a clean, comfortable tiny house -- free of charge to those in need -- thanks to this amazing ministry.
Houses for Healing allows Christian congregations, across denominational and nondenominational lines, to come together and reach out to people who are in dire medical circumstances. The Good Samaritans of Abilene play a role as well, expressing the healing love and grace of Jesus Christ to those occupying the Houses for Healing.
