After Cisco College’s 20-19 conference win over Blinn College this past weekend, Head Football Coach Stephen Lee is a happy man. It was the first conference game this season, and it was also Coach Lee’s first conference win for Cisco.
“I’m very happy,” he said. “My wife says I kept saying, ‘I want to see what these kids can do,’ because they’ve really bought into what we’re asking them to do. I was so excited to see, first of all, a measure of the work we’ve put in, but also to see us come out on the successful end and see them get a little bit of payback from it.”
Coach Lee said the athletes “have invested in some things. And it’s been some hard work. We were asking them to not wear earrings, and to keep their hair a certain way. And there has been some personal investment, so I was very glad to see some payback from their end.”
