The Gorman Panthers made their large homecoming crowd happy on Friday by rolling to an easy 72-26 victory over the Evant Elks at Brogdon Field. With the win, Gorman ran its season record to 1-1. Evant fell to 0-2.
The Panthers will try and keep the winning spirit alive this Friday when they travel to Blum for a 7:3 p.m. showdown. Blum enters the game having lost its first two games to Abbott and Lometa.
Blum suffered a 7265 loss to Lometa this past Friday. Lometa edged Gorman 34-12 in the 2023 seasonopener for both squads on Aug. 25.
