Blake Carr rushed for two touchdown and passed for two more on Friday and powered the Clyde Bulldogs to a 3421 come-from-behind win over the Eastland Mavericks.
With the win, Clyde ran its season record to 2-0. Eastland, despite a solid showing, fell to 0-2.
The Maverick flexed their muscle early against Clyde. Eastland marched the length of the field on their first possession to grab the upper hand. The Mavericks, aided by a 15-yard facemasking penalty, pushed to the Clyde 35. From there, Jay Oznick rambled for 21 yards to the CHS 14. Two plays later, the senior finished off the series by snaring a 10-yard scoring pass from Isaiah Hays to put Eastland on top 7-0.
