Fresh off their first appearance in the Region V Baseball Tournament in almost four decades, the Ranger College baseball program is beginning to get some love from the baseball world again. A two-time NJCAA national champion, Ranger College was picked to finish fourth in the upcoming Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference race. The preseason ranking marked the first time since the mid-1980s that RC was a preseason pick to finish in the upper echelon of what many consider to be the top baseball conference in the nation.
Ranger College went 37-22 a year and advanced to the regional tournament for the first time in 39 years.
The Rangers head into the upcoming season with several key holdovers returning to the mix.
