This past weekend the Cisco Writers Club participated in the Back to School Bash in Cisco. Activities and booths covered everything from chiropractic education to a mechanical bull to a car show to writing, and a whole lot more.
At our booth, we had a fun spin-the-wheel game. Kids won prizes if they could answer a writing question (like parts of speech) related to the number on the wheel.
We also had a “future best sellers” list in which kids came up with the title of a book they’d like to write some day. The kids’ creativity was amazing, and their enthusiasm for writing was endearing. We ended up with multiple pages of titles.
