Vickie Majors Obituary

Vickie Majors, age 71, of Gorman, Texas, passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2023, at the Heart to Heart Hospice Center in Fort Worth, Texas. 

   She was born on December 24, 1951, in Palo Pinto County, Texas to John Verner Nipp and Reva Maxine Nipp. She married Johnny Wesley Majors on March 1, 1968 in Mineral Wells, Texas. Vickie worked in food service for Rising Star Nursing Home then for Gorman ISD. She had a servant’s heart as she would always cook for her whole family as well. More than her big heart, she also had a mind of her own and would tell you exactly how she felt. Because of her huge personality she was loved by everyone who really knew her.

   Vickie is survived by her three children; Donna and Scott Scitern of Desdemona, Ronald and Lacy Majors of Carbon, Donald and Barbara Majors of Gorman, and one son-in-law; Joe Olvera of Gorman, one sister; Netta McLean and husband, John, of Palestine, Texas. Seventeen grandchildren; Jonathon and Hailey Fenley, Sheldon Fenley, Mathew and Yulissa Majors, Mahalia and Samuel Rodriguez, Trent Padron, Taw Scitern, Nathan Majors, Gracie Majors, Briar Scitern, Jayci Majors, Keeley Majors, Daniel and Marley Herrera, Flavio Herrera, and Maggie Herrera. Four great-grandsons; Zeigen Rodriguez, Westley Fenley, Samuel Rodriguez IV, and Waylon Scitern. As well as two great-granddaughters; Leighton Fenley and Macie Majors.
