Kathleen Alexander Watson Obituary

Kathleen Alexander Watson of Cisco passed away peacefully during the early morning hours Saturday, July 29, 2023, just four days after her 80th birthday.

Kathleen was born July 25, 1943 in Romney, to Walter and Irene Estes Denton.  The couple was doubly blessed that day, as Kathleen had a twin, Charleen, who became Kathleen’s built-in best friend. Throughout life, when you saw one of them, the other was not far behind.

She graduated from Cisco High School and worked as an LVN. She was later the owner and manager of the Cisco Cafe.  She was known for her civic involvement, being a member of the VFW, Cisco Chamber of Commerce, and Eastern Star.  She started the Meals on Wheels Program and The Blessing Box in Cisco.  She was actively involved in decorating Veteran's graves on Memorial Day. In 2007, she was awarded the Cisco Humanitarian Award.  This was the same year she established the Stacey Watson Memorial Fund, in honor of her husband who preceded her in death January 1, 2007.
