ā€œIā€™m proud to be part of the team,ā€ Steve Gerdes, president of the Eastland County Water Supply District board of directors since 2015, told Ranger Lions Club at a recent meeting. The team is comprised of ECWSD Board, district superintendent, operators, staff and additional partners, including the County Judge and Commissioners Court, and financial partner First Financial Bank, Gerdes informed.

ECWSD was formed by Eastland and Ranger, who in turn sell water to their respective customers and other entities. In order to insure that customers can access quality and healthy water supply resources now and in the future, plant operations must run smoothly and facilities need to be state of the art.

Gerdes spoke to the Lions Club about various large projects which will insure just that, including a new raw water station, Lake Leon Dam rehabilitation project, repairs to the Morning Glory, and installation of a water tap on the transmission line to the City of Ranger.
