It is with heavy hearts that we share the devastating news of the loss of Deputy David Bosecker, who made the ultimate sacrifice while responding to a domestic fight in the line of duty. Deputy Bosecker served with unwavering dedication at the Eastland County Sheriff’s Office. This is a devastating blow to our office and community and we are deeply saddened by this loss. He was our friend and our brother.
He was not just a dedicated officer, but a kind and compassionate soul. Deputy Bosecker’s love for others went beyond the call of duty, as he often selflessly helped people in need, without seeking recognition. Many have now come forward, sharing stories of his acts of kindness, like purchasing gas or groceries for those in need, and continually checking on others that were having a rough time. He was full of jokes and tried to make everyone around him laugh. He had such an amazing and inspiring impact on so many lives. He was genuine.
Service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 29th at the Brownwood Coliseum, 500 E Baker, Brownwood, Texas. A private interment will follow with family and close friends. His wife has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Deputy David Bosecker Memorial Fund at First Financial Bank in Eastland where that money will be used for safety equipment for officers. Please come together as a community to support his wife, family and friends during this difficult time.
