Ranger College’s new mens basketball coach, Zack Verhulst, expressed his enthusiasm about stepping-in to lead the team to another great year. He was assistant coach on T.J. Cox’s staff as the Rangers’ qualified for the 2022-2023 NJCAA Men’s Division National Basketball Tournament. Coach Cox accepted a position with Northwestern State University in Louisiana.
“I’m excited,” Coach Verhulst, speaker at a recent Ranger Lions Club meeting, said. “I like it here. Last year was a good year. I can’t wait to see this year’s team on campus in August.” Verhulst is moving full speed ahead with optimism and hard work.
Coach Verhulst was an assistant at Chipola College in Florida and Eastern Michigan University before coming to Ranger College.
