The Ranger High School boys’ and girls’ basketball teams dropped a pair of tough decisions to Poolville on Friday in District 11-2A action.
The Lady Monarchs narrowly outscored Ranger in the second and third quarters and then held on to claim a 43-40 victory. After fighting to an 11-11 tie in the first quarter, Poolville managed to outpoint the Lady Bulldogs by a 14-12 clip in the second and took a shaky 25-23 lead into the half.
Poolville extended its lead to three, at 39-36, with a 14-13 run in the third.
