Mary Delilah Patton Webb was born on March 6, 1930. She was born prematurely at home on the farm in Lueders. The Doctor did not believe she would live past the age of 2 and she was frail most of her life. She graduated from Lueders High School. She left us on May 19, 2023, at the age of 93 to go home to her eternal reward.
She met Durward Webb at church and they married on July 8, 1949. They were married for 72 years before he passed away on May 16, 2022. They are now happily together.
Our Mom was the happiest when she was working in her yard, cleaning the house, or painting. She was a seamstress and natural artist. She always hummed around the house. She loved watching her peacocks at the farm. While at the farm, she took a daily walk to the creek enjoying nature. She taught Sunday School and always made sure her husband looked his best for Sunday. She even went so far as to shine his shoes every Saturday night until they shone perfectly. She was the perfect helpmate for our Dad and never complained when he was tending to Church business. She was not frail in her faith. She loved the Lord.
She is survived by her children, Marcia Hale, Durward Webb, Jr. and his wife Sheila, and Leisa Jobe; grandchildren Stephanie Catoe, Chris Webb, Melissa Walston, Danny Webb and a special grandson, Brandon Hale; great-grandchildren Nate Catoe, Carson, Cassie and Carlys Webb, Garrett Walston, Elliott and Anna Webb; her sister Peggy Moore and brother Billy Patton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Patton and Tommie Patton; grandparents John Washington Patton and Arkie Mary Patton; Thomas Harvey Rowland and Laura Brown Rowland; grandson Daniel Kelly Webb in 1976; son-in-law Rex Jobe in 1991 and son-in-law Donald Hale in 2022; her brothers Derwood Patton; D Wayne Patton; Edward Cloys Patton; sister-in-law Bobbie Jane Lovett.
