Bankhead Community Theatre: STEEL MAGNOLIAS Draws Sell Out Crowds

The Bankhead Community theatre brought laughter, tears, and joy to downtown Eastland this past weekend with their sold out production of Robert Harling’s Steel Director, Leah Chalet Jacobs and Assistant Director, Bethney Jacobs. Cast: Truvy, Mandi Whittlesey; Annelle, Misharee Gunstanson; Clairee, Leah Lambeth; Shelby, Leah Jacobs; M’Lynn, Hailey Hurst; and Ouiser, Jennifer Forguson.

Jerry and Beth McCoy to Speak at New Carbon Christ Center

Jerry and Beth Mc-Coy have been active in ministry for more than 45 years. Jerry is from Eastland. They will be ministering this Sunday with Beth teaching the Bible Study at 10:00 and Jerry will take the worship service. They are currently ministry partners with Evangel Association of Churches and Ministries (EACM), where they maintain ministerial license. Speaking pri-marily in Oklahoma, Texas, and Florida, Jerry graduated from Eastland High School, and they have 3 children and 8 grandchildren. Beth was raised in Stanton and graduated from LeTourneau University. Jerry worked many years in the banking industry as an underwriter and Beth worked as a Special Education instructor. With a strong call to ministry, they have held many positions in church including Youth Pastor, Bible Teacher, Worship Leader and Pastor. They founded Run To Win Ministries focusing on making disciples that will serve the nations. They believe the Holy Spirit empowers the church today with healings, miracles, signs and wonders. Jerry is also a Psalmist and has written numerous songs, some of which he will share Sunday morning during service. New Carbon Christ Center is located one block off of the main street through Carbon on Antracite Street and Avenue D behind the Fire Department in the Community Center. All are invited to attend. Service starts at 10:00 a.m .
